St Barth Song

The song was written back in 2006, after my first trip on the island of St Barth in the Carribean. The song showed much enthusiasm from the local and international audiences so it was only in the end of 2010 that “St Barth Song” was released as a “single” format CD, independently of record labels and distributed by local stores on the island and via internet, through itunes, Amazon, Spotify and other main internet distributors.

Entirely recorded in St Barth, the song became a local hit on the radio.

The video clip was initiated by the local administration who found a way to advertise the image of their island through the song. The video clip was financed by the Chamber of Commerce (C.E.M), produced by a local video business (St Barth Video) and directed by Tony Duarte who previously worked for Studio Canal + in Paris, France.

It shows me arriving on the island by a small plane with a breathtaking view of the landing, that made St Barth famous, also exploring it in a little “Moke” car, iconic on the island and discovering the beauty of its nature and its people as an image translation of the song lyrics.

Tony Duarte put efforts to translate into images my lyrics as well as the administration’s request to show a different image of St Barth, known to be a “bling bling” island where all the celebs and fames spend vacations.

The result is in tune with the music, simple and fresh.

Since the clip was released in early 2011, my musical career took off on the island, playing regular hotels and bars gigs as well as wedding parties, local private events on the island and abroad.

In order to respond to my audience request of more tunes, I self-produced my first album last summer in the south of France and released it on December 2012 on local stores and internet.

This 12 tracks album is also my call to show my audience the extend of my musical world, not limited to reggae but extending to progressive rock and trip-hop genre.
